CLEAN CAMPUS: Red flag!

SENIORS VOTE FOR THE TOP 6: It’s time to narrow the field! There are 12 Homecoming candidates for the Princess Court that needs to be narrowed to the top 6. Go to voting4schools.com/lincolnhigh or use the Vote 4 Schools app on your phone to vote for your top six on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 5 & 6. Please use your Student ID number for your user name and your birthdate as your password. Format m/d/yyyy (e.g. 4/8/1996) Use slash marks, and 4-digit year. You have 6 votes; MAKE THEM COUNT! VOTE NOW!

OFF CAMPUS LUNCH REQUIREMENTS: Starting Wednesday, August 30, 2017, if a student goes off campus during lunch, it will be required that the driver and the students in the car show his/her student ID card to a campus supervisor on the return from lunch off campus. ONLY Juniors and Seniors are allowed to go off for lunch.Campus supervisors will be checking ID cards when students return to the Lincoln High School campus at lunchtime. Freshmen and Sophomores are required to stay on campus for lunch.

LOCKERS: If you didn’t register for a locker during orientation last week, please stop by the activities office with your partner and a lock. Lockers will only be issued during lunch. You are only allowed to register for one locker for every two students. No one can have two lockers. If you have put a lock on a locker that is not registered with the activities office, the lock will be cut off.

ASB PUNCH SALES: There is still time to buy your ASB punch. It’s only $55 (cash only) and saves you money on admission to dances, rallys and sporting events, plus you get a free spirit t-shirt. This year you get in free to all home sporting events with an ASB punch (except playoffs). Stop by the Activities office during lunch. Spirit/class t-shirts are also on sale during lunch for $10.

PARKING ENFORCEMENT: Parking enforcement will be starting on Tuesday, September 5th… Parking Permit registration papers can be picked up in the Student Service Center M-Z side and returned there as well, before school, during lunch or after school.

COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY AWARD PROGRAM: If you have summer volunteer hours, make sure to submit to Mr. Kith in the Academic Success Center by September 1st. In order to turn in hours, you must have the enrollment agreement. There are also many community service opportunities available. Stop by the ASC and sign up!

LINCOLN MOCK TRIAL: Calling all lawyers, bailiffs, witnesses and court clerks! Lincoln Mock Trial will have its first meeting on Thursday, August 31 at 3:05 in room 2105. Come and find out how much fun and reward you can get from competing with our Mock Trial team. No experience necessary!! See Mr. Kulm with any questions in room 2105.

CSF: CSF applications are now being accepted from Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. Bring $5 and your second semester report card/Aeries printout to Ms. Landucci in Room 1510. Applications can be picked up in Room 1510. The deadline to sign-up is Friday, Sept. 1st. Late applications will not be accepted, so do not wait until the last day. Freshmen can begin signing up in January.

SCIENCE CAMP COUNSELORS: Applications now being accepted.If you will be a Junior or Senior for the 2017-2018school year and are interested in becoming a science camp counselor, come by the A-Leside of the Student Service Center to pick up an application. Once you complete your application please turn it into Randee Ramirez in the Student Service Center.

WORK PERMITS: Attention Students! Work permits issued last school year will expire September 6th. Please stop by to renew your work permit.

COLLEGES VISITING LHS: If you are interested in attending one of the college presentations, please go directly to the event location (EPC or Library). Make sure you sign in the attendance sheet so you'll be excused from that class period.

PLACEMENT EXAM-PSYCHOLOGY 1: The placement exam for the Delta College Psychology 1 class will be offered again on Wednesday, August 30th, 2017 from 2:00-4:00pm in room 2301. The class will start on Tuesday, September 5th. Make sure you apply at Delta College prior to the exam date; you willneed a Delta CollegeID number in order to take the assessment.

CLUB EVENTS & HAPPENINGS

CLUB PRESIDENT’S MEETING: There is a MANDATORY Club President’s meeting on Wednesday, August 30th during lunch in room 1113. You must attend in order to be a club this year. All the Spirit Week/Homecoming information will be distributed at this meeting.

LINCOLN LATIN LEADERSHIP: They will hold their first meeting Tuesday, September 5th in room 2206. We will discuss Club Rush and other events. All previous and new members are welcome to attend.

LINCOLN IDOL: Attention all LHS singers, applications for Lincoln Idol are now available in the activities office! Stop by and get yours today, they are going fast, they are due Tuesday, September 12th by the end of lunch!
