I am writing to you on behalf of Swinging Bunt Charities. Our group is in our fourth year organizing and overseeing the Swinging Bunt Benefit. Our event started as a “grassroots” effort and has a successful three year run of raising as much as $8,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In late 2009 we were given official 501(c)3 Non-Profit status as a charitable organization. This year our benefit weekend will be held April 30th – May 2nd. We will be conducting a golf tournament, weekend softball tournament, and an evening event consisting of raffles and silent auctions of items donated by businesses and celebrities. We are a registered St. Jude event, and all the proceeds from the benefit will be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Like many charity events, we are successful due in large part to the generosity of our participants and the businesses that help sponsor our event. Even though this is our fourth year and we are the largest event of our kind in the country, we are still relatively unknown locally. Our goal this year is to engage more local businesses such as yours and get them involved in the events we have created. By sponsoring our event, we will present your business in a professional manner on both our website and our tournament materials. Be sure that anything you are able to donate would help us to achieve our goal.
