The Falko (L1) corpus consists of 1 ZIP-file with 116 Textfiles (version 2.2).

The WHiG (L2) corpus consists of 1 ZIP-file with 244 Textfiles (version 2.0).

License

The Licenser grants the User a non-exclusive license to use both corpora. The User agrees:

·  to use the corpora only for non-commercial, non-profit research purposes,

·  to make no changes to the corpora,

·  and to acknowledge the use of the corpora in all publications reporting on results produced with the help of the Falko project (please cite Lüdeling et al. 2008[1] and the Falko URL http://www.linguistik.hu-berlin.de/institut/professuren/korpuslinguistik/forschung/falko).

Use of the corpora or use of data derived from the corpora for any commercial purposes requires explicit written agreement of the Licenser.

Non-Disclosure

The Falko and WHiG corpora and the documentation will be held in confidence by the User and will not be disclosed by the User to third parties, except for those parts of the corpora or the documentation that are explicitly marked for public use, and except for example sentences in scientific publications.

The User shall and will employ all necessary precautions to ensure that no persons or institutions other than persons as are in the employ of the User or in the same research project as the User will get access to the Falko corpus and WHiG corpus or parts thereof. Other persons or institutions desiring access to the corpora should be directed to the Licenser to obtain separate licence agreements.

Fee

This license is granted by the Licenser to the User free of charge.

Disclaimer

The Falko and WhiG corpora and its documentation is provided on an ‘as is’ basis, with no guarantee of its veracity or accuracy. No liability is accepted for any damage caused by its use. The Licenser hereby informs the User that the distributed version of the Falko corpus and WHiG corpus is work in progress, and that, although great efforts are spent on removing annotation errors, some may still remain in the corpora.
