Customization Form
For Serials
How to edit this form: The Customization Form is a secured document that is only editable in the form fields. Locking the form is the only way that we can keep these fields editable. You will notice that you can’t select any other areas of the document – that’s normal. If the form seems to be “jumping” from page to page when you click, it’s just because you’re clicking on a locked area. To keep it from doing this, just click within the editable fields of the tables.
Please keep in mind that the protection is on to allow you to fill in the designated areas. If you encounter any problems selecting a text field (in grey), checkbox, or dropdown menu, please submit a question to Library Support through the Support Center.
We recommend downloading the 360 MARC Updates Group Customization Companion, available online in the Support Center, for your reference as you fill out this form. The Customization Companion includes explanations and examples of all your options covered in this form.

Welcome to the 360 MARC Updates
Group Customization Form
Serials Solutions 360 MARC Updates provides MARC records for all electronic journals that you subscribe to through full-text aggregators. We combine our holdings data with CONSER and other bibliographic records. When combining this data, we have the opportunity to make many customizations to the records, based on your preferences. This form asks for information about what changes you would like to see in the records we provide.
The Group Customization Form is designed specifically for consortia and other groups of libraries that share a single library catalog. We will deliver a single MARC record for each journal title with separate links to the individual journal holdings held by each library. Our goal is to guide you through all customization options available for these “group” MARC records. As you complete this form, please consult the MARC Records User Guide in the 360 MARC Updates section of Serials Solutions’ Support Center. Please send the edited electronic document to Serials Solutions Library Support as an email attachment through the Support Center. Suggestions for improvement of the form are welcome.
Please keep in mind that the customizations offered in this form are not intended to limit your library’s options. These are merely suggestions; feel free to request any customizations that your prefer.Delivery Options

[1] Clients using an Innovative ILS are encouraged to add “OCM1” before the Serials Solutions unique identifier. This allows you to use the standard Innovative OCLC load table, rather than purchasing one from Innovative, or creating one yourself. If “OCM1” is not added, non-digit characters will be stripped, and could overlay on a record with a matching OCLC number.
[2] This is helpful for Innovative clients who use the 222 (or other field) for their journal title index.
