TennisLink is open for registration. If you do not planto captain your team for the Adult Spring League, please forward this information to the captain.

Captain’s Meeting will be January 7th at Lexington County Tennis Complex at 2:00. Please print off and complete the attached form and bring with you to the meeting.

IMPORTANT: If for any reason you can not attend the captain’s meeting, please send your captain’s information form to your level coordinator no later than January 11th (form and Coordinator Directory included below in this letter and available on the Lexington web under Spring League). Remember, you must send your team name and contact info to your level coordinator each season you captain. Your level coordinator needs this info in order to contact you.

The Age Groupsplaying their local league in the Spring are as follows:

18 & OVER

Levels: 3.0; 3.5; 4.0; 4.5 2 singles, 3 doubles

Levels: 2.5; 5.0+(may have two 5.5’s on team) 1 singles, 2 doubles

40 & OVER

Levels: 3.0; 3.5; 4.0; 4.5+(may have three 5.0’s on team) 2 singles, 3 doubles

55 & OVER

Levels: 3.0; 3.5; 4.0; 9.0 Combined 3 doubles

70 & OVER

Levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 3 doubles

NOTE: The 70 & Over Age Group is a SC league only with no advancement past the SC State Championship.

Each player shall have reached the requiredminimum age prior to or during the calendar year in which such playerparticipates in his or her first local league.

Captains of teams planning to play out of LCTC should contact Joel Corley at 957-7676 to obtain permission and pay court fees.

Captains of teams planning to play out of the Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center should contact Miranda Unthank at 227-3030 for permission and pay court fees.

Captains of teams planning to play out of Saluda Shoals Park should contact Bryan Sennat 213-2062 to obtain permission and pay court fees.

Captains of teams planning to play out of Melvin Park should contact Eric Funderburk at 345-8101 to obtain permission and pay court fees.

To register on TennisLink, go to the USTA website: click on TennisLink or Loginto TennisLink or your USTA Account if you are already set up and click on “Online Team Creation” under My Quick Links….click on Southern, etc……enter team name with codes and facility as below:

COMPLETE TEAM NAME: List Team CODEfirst – Team Name Second – then Home Court CODE

(Example of what your team name should look like with codes: T18JH-Miracles-RC) YOU MUST TYPE THE

CODES IN ALSO along with your team name – It will not automatically include them.

Team Code for 18 & Over Age Group = “T18” followed by the first initial of the captain’s first

and last name

Team Code for 40 & Over Age Group = “T40” followed by the first initial of the captain’s first

and last name

Team Code for 55 & Over Age Group = “T55” followed by the first initial of the captain’s first

Important points you must be aware of before registering your team:

*You must secure home courts for your team PRIOR to registering the team on TennisLink. Do not assume that you can play at a certain facility. You must contact the facility and obtain approval and pay any court fees.

*Once a player registers and pays fees on TennisLink, there will be NO REFUNDS of any fees paid, except in the event of a singleton team that has no other team to play. Be sure you have the minimum number of players before registering the team.

The league fee is $18 per player plus a $3 user fee for the “TennisLink” program. This will need to be paid with a credit card.

If you have any problems with registration, please contact your Level Coordinator for assistance. A list of the Coordinators and their contact info islisted below and available on the Lexington web under Spring League.

Thedeadline for registering a complete team is January11th. If you miss this date, your team will be rendered null and void and not included in match play.

(NOTE: minimum number of players required to be considered a complete team below).

For a team to be accepted by January 11th, you must have:

18 & OVER Team

(3.0; 3.5; 4.0; 4.5) 8 players

(2.5; 5.0+) 5 players

40 & OVER Team

(3.0; 3.5; 4.0; 4.5+) 8 players

55 & OVER Team

(3.0; 3.5; 4.0; 9.0 Combined) 6 players

70 & OVER Team

(3.0, 3.5, 4.0) 6 players

We cannot put your team in the schedule if you miss this date. TennisLinkwill not accept a player without a USTA membershipcurrent through June 2018. Do not wait until the deadline and not have the minimum number of players. Check your team on the deadline date to be sure you have the required number registered.

ADD-ONS: Players may be added to a roster until the March 5th deadline.

The Spring Season for All Age Groups will startaround the first week of February in order to meet State deadlines for local play. Start dates are projected datesand may vary (earlier or later) depending on the number of teams in a particular level. If necessary to double up matches due to number of teams in a division versus number of weeks and court availability, the doubled up match will be scheduled on Sunday.

Players who do not have a computer rating on file in TennisLink shall self-rate in accordance with the National Tennis Rating Program (NTRP) Guidelines and complete the self-rating process on TennisLink when registering for a team. Failure to do so or omission of information regarding a player’s tennis history will subject the player, the captain and/or others who condoned inaccurate self-rating to sanctions.
