1. DRIVING TO THE PARK:

A. FROM THE EAST, FROM KANSAS CITY, MO: to 1st and Fairfax Trafficway:

I-70 WEST (LEWIS AND CLARK VIADUCT) TO FAIRFAX EXIT 423 D. The exit ramp will take you on an elevated ramp to Fairfax Trafficway. Immediately when you reach the bottom of the ramp you are at 1st streetFairfax Trafficway.

B. FROM THE WEST TO 1st AND FAIRFAX TRAFFICWAY:

I-70 E TO Exit 423B, named Third Street and/or James Street Exit. (Also labeled on an additional sign as “Fairfax District,) Exit 423B.” Follow Signs: “Fairfax Dist.” to 1st and Fairfaxwith huge grain elevators on west and big parking lot on right.

2. ARRIVING IN FAIRFAX, FROM 1st AND FAIRFAX (also called 1401 Fairfax on the Street Sign) TO KAW POINT:

To the left (west) is the huge grain elevator. On the right side of street, look for “Kaw Point” Sign and a sign “Space For Lease Offices Warehouses,” Turn right immediately after the Kaw Point sign into the huge parking lot. Head straight, which is east, into the parking area and drive about 200 yards east to the gray 6 foot tall flood wall. Turn right, going south now and follow the flood wall about 100 yards. See the sign “Lewis and ClarkPark at Kaw Point” and go through the ten foot wide opening in the wall into large parking area to the south of the flood wall. Park along near iron fence. Walk down pathway to the point between the two rivers.
