Rates / The time spent on treatment does not justify increased in rates. The antedoctal evidence does not match what we are hearing from the data. The budgeting for the services that these children need does not reflect the rates being paid. Agencies cannot make their budgets work with the rates paid. / A meeting of the Finance Committee will meet on June 25th at 9:30 am to look at the data. Normer Adams will invite the Finance Committee to attend.
Rate Setting and Contracts / New Contracts will be out to providers by October 1st. Don Mathis will be the contract coordinator. Agencies need to begin to get Board resolutions for these new contracts.
Rules for managing LOC / These rules are being developed by DFCS. The provider support unit has copies of these. The problem is that these rules keep changing. / Amy Hale will bring to the next Best Practices Meeting, and get it to Normer Adams for distribution to the Committee only.
Taking Care of the LOC business / Discussion centered around how the LOC will continue to move forward. Four committees are presently meeting. Combining the committees into one seems to a logical idea that has arrived.
Children in parental custody will still get LOC funding without parents giving up custody. / LOC will meeting monthly 2nd Wednesday of every month at 1:30.
No LOC Meeting on June 15th. Normer will send notice out.
Chairperson will do the agenda for the meetings.
Services following the child / Incentives need to be built in to build the capacity needed to care for the child’s needs while providing an incentive to move the child to lower levels. / Amy Hale will do a “Due Diligence” form to be ready for the next meeting.
