Letter to parents

Dear Parent/Guardian,

______are supporting the Action for Children Giant Wiggle walk on ______at ______.

What is the Giant Wiggle?

The Giant Wiggle is a fun-filled sponsored walk, in partnership with The Very Hungry CaterpillarTM, in aid of Action for Children.

We will be starting the day with a reading of the Very Hungry CaterpillarTM, followed by a day of fun caterpillar themed activities and a fundraising conga line walk. Each child that takes part will receive a certificate and a sticker as a reminder of all the fun they had!

How can you help?

Adults can join in too! Visit actionforchildren.org.uk/downloadables for fundraising hints and tips and to order your fundraising materials. Why not set up a justgiving page for your little one so friends and families from all over can make a donation to support The Giant Wiggle? You can use the link here DEEPLINK to get started.

What your fundraising means

We’re hoping to raise £______as a group. That’s and average of £_____ per child. We would really appreciate it if you are able to help us towards our target. Your donations and fundraising can make a real difference to a disadvantaged child.

  • £15 could pay for 3 separate children to have an Action for Children baby sitter whilst a parent takes their sick child to hospital.
  • £30 could pay for several children with learning disabilities to receive important materials to help them with their language skills.
  • £60 could help Action for Children to provide breakfast to 45 hungry children at their breakfast clubs.

Please be sure to bring your donations in on the day (if possible) so we can let you know how much we’ve raised for Action for Children together!
