_____Projects to reduce the specific pollutants that create PM2.5 and ozone in

nonattainment areas across the state. In addition to efforts along the Wasatch Front, we encourage efforts to reduce ozone precursors in Duchesne and Uintah Counties. In all instances the projects should produce meaningful emission reductions and be replicable.

_____ Creative projects designed to utilize new or emerging technologies and address a

significant source of emissions.

_____ Projects that target innovative emissions-reduction strategies and promote

community involvement and awareness in implementing these strategies, on a state-wide or local level. Projects in this area should yield on actual emissions reductions.

____Repair or removal of vehicles that are particularly high emitters, including older or poorly maintained vehicles

_____Transition of small businesses and/or homeowners currently using 2-stroke engines to use of 4-stroke or electric engines

_____Create strategies to encourage employers and individuals to use telecommuting techniques and other method to get vehicles off the road, particularly during the inversion season.

_____Implementation of a State-wide Smoking Vehicle Hotline

_____ Create and manage an emission credit program to solicits donations from individuals who

want to be part of cleaning the air but are unable to do projects and distributes those funds to individuals who need help with funds to support projects

Brief Project Description:

Please provide a concise high-level overview of the project and how it will help improve air quality. Include a brief description of the location, scope and goals for the project. Explain how emission reduction will be measured and reported. Include supplementary materials as appropriate to help describe the project. If the project helps to implement an existing plan, please include a link to the plan. Provide information regarding collaboration with other organizations and other sources of funding. If submitting more than one project, submit and prioritize separate letters of intent.
