Writing–Narratives : Bold beginnings, adding feelings
Spelling Test #6 short vowel patterns, a and e

Topic 3 Using Place Value to Add and Subtract
T3-6 Adding with an Expanded Algorithum T3-7 Models for Subtracting 3 Digit Numbers T3-8 Subtracting with 3 Digit Number
Social Studies/Science
Landforms: Mountains, river, plateau, valley, hills, lakes, etc
Reminders:.
-Collaboration Days, Wed, Oct. 12 & 19. School dismisses at 2 p.m.
-Weekly Reading Responses for each day does not have to be on an entire book. It can be a chapter, a few chapters, or pages that your child read that day or evening.
-Jog-A-Thon/FunRun was successful and fun. Thank you families for your generous donations!!
-October Poem was sent home. Students have till Oct. 28 to recite the poem
Minimum Day Oct. 28 & 31, Minimum Day, end of Tri. 1
-Conference Schedule will be posted once choir rehearsals are finalized.
-Halloween Party Mon., Oct. 31. More details TBA
-Thank you for your Scholastic Order.
-Math websites highly recommended for reviewing math facts, rounding, skip counting (preparation for multiplication), and place value: , ,
-Reading website: is a great site that provides comprehension tests to check if your child understands what he/she read. This is a free site. Parents need to sign up. This does not REPLACE THEIR AR QUIZZES.
