- Multiplication concept is what we’ve been working on for the past week. The children are learning what multiplication is and different strategies to figure out multiplication problems. Students are taught 2 basic concepts: Pictorial Thinking and Numerical Thinking. In Pictorial Thinking, students use drawing, array (using rows and number in each row (column)), and circles and stars to solve problems. In Numerical Thinking strategies such as adding, counting, skip counting and multiplication are used. Contact me if you have any questions regarding these strategies.
