A. Prov. 11:20 ______

Proverbs 11:20 (AMP) 20 They who are willfully contrary in heart are extremely disgusting and shamefully vile in the eyes of the Lord, but such as are blameless and wholehearted in their ways are His delight!

B. Prov. 16:5 ______

Proverbs 16:5 (AMP) 5 everyone proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting, hateful, and exceedingly offensive to the Lord; be assured [I pledge it] they will not go unpunished.

C. Prov. 15:26a ______

Proverbs 15:26 (AMP) 26 the thoughts of the wicked are shamefully vile and exceedingly offensive to the Lord, but the words of the pure are pleasing words to Him.

D. Prov. 15:8-9 ______

Proverbs 15:8-9 (AMP) 8 the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination, hateful and exceedingly offensive to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight! 9 The way of the wicked is an abomination, extremely disgusting and shamefully vile to the Lord, but He loves him who pursues righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation).

Proverbs 21:27 (AMP) 27 the sacrifice of the wicked is exceedingly disgusting and abhorrent [to the Lord]—how much more when he brings it with evil intention?

F. Prov. 11:1 ______

Proverbs 11:1 (AMP) 1 A FALSE balance and unrighteous dealings are extremely offensive and shamefully sinful to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.

G. Prov. 20:23 also Proverbs 20:10 ______

Proverbs 20:23 (AMP) 23 Diverse and deceitful weights are shamefully vile and abhorrent to the Lord, and false scales are not good.

Proverbs 20:10 (AMP) 10 Diverse weights [one for buying and another for selling] and diverse measures—both of them are exceedingly offensive and abhorrent to the Lord.

H. Deuteronomy 25:13 ______

Deuteronomy 25:13 (AMP) 13 you shall not have in your bag true and false weights, a large and a small.

I. Micah 6:10-11 ______

Micah 6:10-11 (AMP) 10 are there not still treasures gained by wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a scant measure [a false measure for grain] that is abominable and accursed? 11 Can I be pure [Myself, and acquit the man] with wicked scales and with a bag of deceitful weights?

Proverbs 12:22 (AMP) 22 Lying lips are extremely disgusting and hateful to the Lord, but they who deal faithfully are His delight.

K. Prov. 10:18 ______

Proverbs 10:18 (AMP) 18 He who hides hatred is of lying lips, and he who utters slander is a [self-confident] fool.

L. Prov. 21:6 ______

Proverbs 21:6 (AMP) 6 Securing treasures by a lying tongue is a vapor driven to and fro; those who seek them seek death.

M. Prov. 17:15 ______

Proverbs 17:5 (AMP) 5 whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker, and he who is glad at calamity shall not be held innocent or go unpunished.

3.What does God delightin?

A. Prov. 11:20 ______

C. When things go wrong in our lives we often blame our enemies. Could this verse be saying that if things are going wrong in our livesperhaps one place to look is to see if weare in fellowship or out of fellowship with God? Y___ N ___ Explain. ______

Would you say that it would be a good idea if before you blame (it) on the enemy (cir- cumstances, the economy, the “system”, the spouse, the children, etc...) you would get alone with God and ask HIM if there is something in your life which may be an abomination to Him causing this unrest? H. How does a person get back into fellowship with God? ______

1 John 1:9 (AMP) 9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].

You know Lord, these lessons hit too close to home. It isn’t the worlds fault for my circumstances, it’s myself. I may not be over the edge and doing gross open sins, but I sure do all too often fall short of what I should be and do in Christ. Lord, help me be honest and confess it the way it really is. I am my own worst enemy. Your Word says that you will make even the enemy (myself) be at peace with me. So, I ask You to forgive me and help me not to even in the slightest do those things that disappoint You, and help me to be a faithful child and help me to see myself as You see me - a delight!
