Lesson Procedure
Step One” I do”
Explain what representing means
As the children to repeat represent
Ask the children how we can represent a quantity of objects – In this section you tell them, instead of asking the children how we can represent quantities you tell them how, and explicitely show them ways to count (make a poster of counting strategies to have visuals they can learn from, then model it for the children)
Step Two “We do”
Liking cubes, represent the number on the whiteboard-flashcard to be used
Step Three “You do”
Children are to complete the activity. Sticking stickers in the ten frame with the correct amount
Differentiation
I have chosen two templates, one of the children struggles when they have to go over 9 so I have chosen a card from 1-10 for him. The other children will have 1-20. – Perfect this will include your differentiation! 
Evaluation
How well were learning intentions met, including differentiation?
It worked well, the student who had low numeracy skills struggled to complete to ten, he got to 5 so providing a lower number board was beneficial to him.
Aspects to consider next time
I believe I catered well for all children In the room.
Identify the strategies you used confidently
I was confident in counting and putting the stickers on and demonstrating it to the students.
Which aspects to you need to consider further
My nerves as Miss Wolf is watching me!
How good was the organisation (including resources) and classroom management?
Very good, I had the little critters in the box as the children listened and did the right thing the critters came out to see them
Aspects to consider next time
More variety of stickers so the children can choose or I can chose the stickers that the child has an interest in
Assessment of individuals/group (as identified in planning)
The child who I chose a lower numbers only got to 5 so if I had given him a 1-20 card, he might have felt it was too challenging.
The other children completed the activity and it was then stuck in their book as evidence.
Points to consider in future planning
Make sure differentiation is used for each lesson to meet the child individual needs.
