Draw a Snowperson Glyph WS Paint Program

Notes:

In a previous session students should have the opportunity to explore the Paint tools.

Students will need to have both Word and Paint open for this lesson.

Students will need to know how to create a textbox in Word.

Procedure:

  1. Teacher will model the lesson by creating their own snowperson glyph using the LCD projector. Show them the value of using the Undo function in Paint. (Go to Edit, Undo.)
  2. Students will follow the directions on the Draw a Snowperson Glyph WS to create a snowperson glyph about him/herself in Paint. Then students will copy their snowperson and paste it into a textbox in Microsoft Word.
  3. Have students save it as Snowperson. The snowperson will be used in the next lesson.

Evaluation:

Snowperson glyph is accurate and saved onto Microsoft Word.
