ABSTINENCE (no meat)
All those14 years & older are to abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday and on all Fridays during Lent.
FASTING (One full meal, two smaller ones)
+ All those 18 years and older, until the beginning of their 60th year, are to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Only one full meal is allowed on days of fast. Two other meals sufficient to maintain strength may be taken according to one’s needs. But together, they should not equal another full meal. Eating between meals on days of fast is not permitted, but liquids are allowed.
+ The obligation does not apply to those whose health or ability to work would be affected seriously.
+ People in doubt about fasting or abstinence should consult a parish priest or confessor.

†24-HOUR EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
As is our Parish tradition, the Holy Eucharist will be exposed continually throughout the Lenten season, beginning after the 9 a.m. Mass on Ash Wednesday and continuing through Wednesday, March 28. Adoration is held at Blessed Sacrament Church in the Adoration Chapel. Sign-up sheets can be found in the east link hallway by the backparking lot.
