EASTERLY CSO PLAN IMPROVEMENTS
TUNNEL DEWATERING PUMP STATION
(CONTRACT TDPS)
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Proposals will be received at the office of the Director of Finance of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) located at 3900 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio44115 until 4:30 P.M. official Local Time on July 31, 2009 for the Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station project.
In general, the Work consists of providing design,construction administration,resident engineering and post-construction servicesfor the Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station project.
The selected consultant shall provide all site investigation and engineering services necessary to develop and produce complete, detailed, and biddable plans and specifications for the construction of the Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station, to be located on District-owned property, known as the Nine Mile site, in the Village of Bratenahl and the City of Cleveland, approximately one mile southwest of the District’s Easterly Wastewater Treatment Plant in the vicinity of Kuhlman Avenue and East 133rdStreet.
A pre-proposal conference has been set for 9:00 A.M. Local Time on Tuesday, June30, 2009in the Third Floor Conference Room at the offices of the NEORSD,3900 Euclid Ave,Cleveland, Ohio. The meeting has been set for the purpose of providing all potential Proposers with an opportunity to discuss all aspects of the Request for Proposalswith the District.
The Request for Proposals will be posted on the District’s web site at Project-relatedattachmentsand exhibits are available on a CD that can be mailed or picked up at the offices of the NEORSD, 3900 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, Ohio. Any changes, additions, and/or deletions resulting from this pre-proposal conference will be issued via addendum to the Request for Proposals and posted on the website.
Firms interested in responding to this Request for Proposals must demonstrate and document relevant experience in the design of pump stations of similar depth and pumping rate. In particular, Firms shall have, at a minimum, the following experience:
- A minimum of three(3) projects successfully completed within the last ten (10) years displaying experience in the design ofpump stations rated in excess of 100 MGD pumping capacity and at least 100 foot in depth.
- The proposed project manager shall have managed the design of a large, multi-disciplined project of the magnitude and complexity of the Tunnel Dewatering Pump Station within the last five years.
The Contract will be subject to the NEORSD policy and goals regarding the use of small business enterprises. This policy is contained in the Request for Proposals. TheSBE goal for this Contract is 18%.
