Unfortunately, many RN’s still have an issue with “delegating” tasks to others. Instead, these RN’s take on tasks that can be assigned to other skilled staff. The challenge is to identify the work that needs to be done by the RN, what tasks can be delegated and how will the process be monitored. This program will expand upon the “Five Rights” of delegating and provide tools for task identification and monitoring of the process. Whose license is really on the line will be addressed through case scenarios. This is a program for staff RN’s as well as managers.
