Leeds University RCUK open access fund application form

If your research is RCUK funded,you may request that your open access publication costs be covered by the Leeds RCUK open access fund.

The fund cannot cover the cost of making all RCUK funded research gold open access. For information about green open access visit the Researcher Library website.

Each Faculty has been allocated a proportion of the RCUK fund and, provided the paper meets RCUK criteria, the decision about which papers to fund rests with the Faculty. To request that your open access publication costs be met by the RCUK fund please fill in this form and send it to your faculty contactbefore submitting your research for publication.

The journal that you are planning to publish in must be compliant with RCUK OA policy. It is your responsibility to check that it is.For gold OA RCUK require:

• Publication under a CC-BY licence which allows for commercial reuse
• Immediate free access from the publisher’s website upon publication
• Funder acknowledgment
• Information regarding how to access additional data where appropriate
