Dear St. Albert’s Families,

Well, that was January. It went quick didn’t it? Now we have February in full swing, and, of course, we start with Catholic Schools Week.

Catholic Schools Week is a big deal at St. Albert’s, for obvious reasons. We start off on Sunday, January 31st, at the 10 am Mass. We encourage all parents and students to join us and “Pack the Mass”. We will have our Annual Open House immediately afterward, at the school, and encourage all current, past, and prospective families to attend. I will be giving Free Dress Passes to all students who are in School Dress Uniform.

Monday we have our awards assembly for 5th through 8th Grade. Parents are not just allowed, you are requested to attend. Please come and help us celebrate your fantastic children. Also, Report Cards go out. The rest of that week, we have our Spelling Bee, our Jr. High travels to Manogue (St. Rose of Lima) for Mass, K-5 Mass moves to Thursday Mass, we have our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Thursday morning at 8:00, and our Family Picnic at 11:30. Friday is a ½ day, with Kindergarten celebrating their first 100 days, and 8th grade parents selling Egg Rolls at 12:30 (I’ve reserved 10 for myself).

The next week, we start with All School Mass on Ash Wednesday, the 10th. Please come and join us if you can at 10:30. Thursday, the 11th is our Spring Chili’s Give Back fundraiser, proceeds go to our school.

The next week starts with a day off for Presidents day, the 15th. Tuesday is our Science Fair, and PTO. Thursday is an early Release at 12:30, for teacher training, and Friday, our 8th grade visits Manogue.

Finally, Progress Reports go out to parents on the 29th. If it seems like a lot, it is.

The wine tasting fundraiser scheduled for April 23rd is still moving along. Some parents have already contacted us regarding donations for both the silent and live auctions. If you or someone you

know might be interested in donating items to the

auction, or you would like to help in this fantastic event, please contact Liz Tenant at:

That’s it for February, and I’m sure you can agree, it’s a busy month. Remember to keep love in your hearts and in your deeds and, as always, we thank you for your precious gifts from God you’ve blessed us with here at St. Albert’s.

See you in the parking lot!

God’s Blessings Be Upon You,

Mr. Scoggin,

Principal

My Quote for the Month is:

If you plan on volunteering or driving on field trips you must have Protecting God’s Children, turn in a Background Check Form and have current insurance information on file in the office!

If you still need to attend the “Protecting God’s Children” training, go to www.dioceseofreno.org for course schedules. .
