What are your criteria for success?
Means of assessment:
A combination of direct and indirect assessment measures will be utilized whereby student achievement of each PSLO is assessed (directly) by instructors’ observations and (indirectly) by student self-assessments. At the completion of the certificates of specialization, all applicants must have completed all required coursework with a grade of C or better and will also be required to complete a self-assessment (attitudinal survey/questionnaire). All students in most courses will be required to present cases and/or projects demonstrating the application of the knowledge acquired.
Criteria for success:
The benchmarks the program sets for the outcome and against which the outcomes’ performance is judged by the faculty within the department are as follows:
  1. On a graduation questionnaire, 75% of students will indicate they “agree” or “strongly agree” that they feel confident, qualified and prepared for entry-level positions in real estate.
  2. 75% of students completing the CS programs will indicate they “agree” or “strongly agree” on an attitudinal survey/questionnaire
(graduation
questionnaire) that
they feel confident in
their ability to apply
their acquired
knowledge. And in
most courses,
students will have
been required to
present cases and
projects
demonstrating their
ability to apply what
they have learned.
  1. At least 50% of students completing the CS programwill have achieved an average grade of B or better and 100% will have achieved a grade of C or better in all course work taken.
  2. 75% of students will indicate on a graduationquestionnaire that they “agree” or “strongly agree” that they feel more confident in their ability to facilitate real estate transactions effectively in personal, organizational, and real estate environments.
  3. Students will feel capable of developing professional careers in real estate and/or matriculating to other institutions to complete a baccalaureate or advanced degree.
