LEADERSHIP HANCOCK COUNTY

One CourthousePlaza, GREENFIELD, IN 46140

In recent years, members of each Leadership Hancock County class have worked on community projects to better understand their role as community leaders while helping local nonprofits. The community project offers a unique opportunity to involve emerging leaders in projects critical to organizations such as yours. Their talents, skills and professional experience can be of immense benefit to the nonprofits they are partnered with and the experience offers the class a chance to gain a greater understanding and appreciation for community involvement.

We invite your organization to submit a project for consideration for the 2016-17Leadership class. If you would like to participate, you must complete the attached request for proposal (RFP). Projects should be shortterm in their scope (December-April) so LHC participants can complete their project prior to their graduation in early May 2017. Proposals must be submitted by Oct.14. Proposals will be accepted via e-mail or regular mail at the address listed at the top of this letter. The proposals will be reviewed by members of the Leadership board of directors, and two or more proposals will be selected for completion by the class. If your organization’s proposal is selected, a representative of your organization will be expected to meet with this year’s class on Wednesday, Dec. 7, to discuss the project.

If you have any questions about a potential proposal, feel free to contact me or our Coordinator, Dave Hill. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Steve Jones, President

Leadership Hancock County Board of Directors

Dave Hill, LHC Coordinator
