The Purpose of the United Methodist Women
Congregation: The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a communityof women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole personthrough Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supporting fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Leader: Lord, we know that apart from your fellowship and outreach, there is little hope for
meaning and stability in our lives. Unite us now in mind and spirit as we worship together
and prepare ourselves for our ministry in our families, in our communities and in our world.
Amen.
