The Band 7 Occupational Therapist provides supervision /professional responsibility for the AHPs within Inpatient SCMH unit there has been some re-design of operational function to re-align line reporting of OTs to the Band 7 role in recent months..

Community Secondary Care Mental Health AHP Team Structure

The Band 7 Occupational Therapists for each IPU are Operationally Managed within functional Teams, and receive Professional Leadership from the Band 8b role (this will cease from 01/10/2015 when the services transfer to ICS)

The Band 7 Occupational Therapists provide professional Leadership to the AHPs within their allocated IPU. All AHPs are operationally managed within a functional team by the Team Manager.
