LDV AUTOMATICALLY ADDS VALUE TO THE G10 TURBO DIESEL
- For a limited time LDV G10 Diesel van buyers may upgrade to a six speed automatic at no additional charge as part of LDV Australia’s End of Financial Year Celebration.
- Recommended retail Driveaway price for the LDV G10 Turbo Diesel automatic van: $28,990 driveaway until the end of June.
Already the benchmark for van value for money in Australia, LDV’s G10 one tonne van is now available until the end of the financial year with an automatic addition to its long list of standard features and equipment – a six speed automatic gearbox for the same price as the manual at $28,990 driveaway.
Not satisfied with one of the most convincing value added offers in the market today, LDV doesn’t stop with the self-shifting gearbox. Compared to the manual G10 Turbo Diesel, the automatic Turbo Diesel G10 also gains steering wheel mounted controls for its audio and Bluetooth system and cruise control.
The LDV G10’s 1.9 turbo diesel engine produces 106.5 kW and a load-lugging 350 Nm of torque from an impressively low 1800 rpm. The engine is matched to a choice of either a six speed manual or a six speed automatic gearbox, both optimised for low fuel consumption and load carrying abilities. In manual form the G10 Turbo Diesel has an official combined fuel consumption figure of 8.3 l/100 km.
The 5.2 cubic metre load space swallows two standard pallets and is easily accessible through large twin side sliding doors, and a rear lift gate, and there is an option of rear barn doors. There is also sufficient space for walk through access from the driver’s seat. All versions of the G10 have a payload above the one tonne benchmark. The cab is quiet, comfortable and easily accessible through wide opening from doors and the advanced suspension provides a comfortable ride regardless of the load. In short, the LDV G10 provides a driving experience that is genuinely car-like.
The comprehensive equipment list for the LDV G10 includes air conditioning, power steering, cruise control (in the automatic versions), power windows, electric mirrors, 16” alloy wheels, Bluetooth and a quality audio system including a large 7” LCD touch screen.
Along with its comfort and capacity for hard work, the G10 also boasts a long list of modern safety features including electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, airbags, roll movement intervention, reverse camera, parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The new LDV G10 turbo diesel is available with a full range of accessories to enable owners and fleets to tailor the G10 van to specific business needs. These include a range of cargo barriers, easy load roof rack systems, load area lining kits, window kits, tow bars and heavy duty steps, as well as nudge bars and weather shields.
The G10 is also offered with two petrol variants. The manual features a larger capacity normally aspirated 2.4 litre 105 kW engine, whilst the six speed ZF automatic boasts a 2.0 litre, twin cam turbocharged petrol engine that pumps out 165 kW and 330 Nm.
The G10 is backed by a comprehensive three year/100,000 km warranty, supported by LDV’s national dealer network that covers the country from Darwin to Tasmania, from Perth to Tweed Heads. In the unlikely event of a problem, the G10 is also covered by 24/7 roadside assistance.

About LDV
LDV is a division of SAIC (Shanghai Automobile and Industrial Corporation), the largest and oldest automotive manufacturer in China as well as being the largest auto company on China’s share market. A Fortune Global 500 company, holding 60th position in the world’s largest companies on the list, SAIC sold more than 5.9 million vehicles in 2015. It was the first company to enter joint ventures with non-Chinese car makers and has formed joint ventures with Volkswagen, IVECO and General Motors.
SAIC Motor's business covers the research, production and vehicle sales of both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. It also covers components including engines, gearboxes, powertrains, chassis, interior and exterior and miscellaneous electronic components, and logistics, vehicle telematics, second-hand vehicle transactions and auto finance services.
In 2009 SAIC acquired LDV, the light commercial vehicle division born from the Anglo Dutch commercial vehicle company Leyland DAF, a company formed from two of Europe’s leading commercial vehicle companies, Leyland Trucks and DAF Trucks. This purchase included the LDV V80 platform, a new platform developed for production in Europe and Asia. LDV is one of Europe's most recognised commercial vehicle brands. Not only has LDV had sales success as a cargo and passenger van, it has been selected by the British government for use by the Royal Bank, Royal Mail and as travel vehicles for the British Royal family. It is also the recipient of numerous international awards.
The LDV G10 is an entirely new platform based on the combined expertise of both LDV and its parent SAIC.
