·  V. Catanese welcomed Committee members and outlined the LCME process.

·  J. Jones and M. Rey discussed the Charge and Standards of the Medical Students Committee.

·  Two “Standard-Bearers”, one faculty or administration member and one student, were assigned to each LCME Charge as follows (see attached list for corresponding charges):

A2: L. Capan, A. Spektor

A3: M. Gemeda, J. Beitler

B. Student Services

B5: J. McGrath, E. Martinez

B6. L. Goldfrank, J. Fahimi

B7: D. Keegan, F. Folgar

C. The Learning Environment

C9: C. Hirsch, M. Kursmark

C10: R. Ulane, A. Lee

C11: M. Rosenfeld, K. Campbell

*J. Oppedisano was not assigned a specific section of the Charge, but will serve as a resource to other Standard-Bearers as requested.

·  All requests for data are to be sent directly by email to H. Campbell and V. Keane with copies to J. Jones and M. Rey. All data requests will be centralized through the LCME Office.

Next Steps:

·  Standard-Bearers will meet prior to next committee meeting to review assigned Charges and to begin the process of addressing questions raised by each Committee charge.

·  Standard-Bearers should be prepared to give status reports at the next meeting.
