2. RESEARCH your person’s life, influence/impact on the Hispanic community and/or role in history. Be sure to include important events in their life and awards and accomplishments that they have received. Use at least 3 Internet sites or printed texts (books or magazines). Cite your sources on the last slide of the powerpoint.
3. CREATE a Facebook page with all of the following information…
include at least five “posts” on the wall (these will be written in the first person and pertain to important events in your (the famous Latino/a’s life) make sure they contain the proper date for the event
include at least ten pictures of significance (You will be asked to explain the significance of each picture- the 10 pictures can include profile, photos, albums, and friends sections)
make sure you complete all of the information sections that are included on the original PowerPoint (these are found on the information page. Each light blue category must be completed)
Since this is a ‘Facebook’ page, be sure to include all of the ‘normal’ stuff, i.e. relationship status, friends, updates…Use your imagination if you have chosen someone that lived before movies. Make up titles that say something about their lives, historical movie about them or about that time period, the same can be done for books/music.
REMEMBER--YOU ARE THE Famous Latino/a and YOUR WORK IS TO BE DONE IN THE FIRST PERSON. Your Facebook should be a fictional rendering based on historical fact. Appropriate cultural information of the country of origin is used to supplement your information .
