It is impossible to fill in our calendar for this class at this point, since I do not yet have a sense of how much Latin you know and where we can pick up from. So we will begin with Wheelock, Chapter One, and cover a chapter a day until we hit material that is unfamiliar. For each chapter, I want you to make vocabulary index cards and translate the reading passage in 38 Latin Stories. Please type out your translations and hand them in every day. We will adjust the pace and assignments as necessary.
I will be writing interactive Vocabulary and Grammar quizzes on Mallard for you for each chapter which you can take as many times as you like for practice. You can also practice by taking the on-line interactive quizzes written by others. See the Selected Links link to the left.
Together we will make this work. I have given us a rough first two week schedule. Let's see where we are before we fill in the rest of the calendar. And remember: it doesn't matter how much we cover, as long as we do it thoroughly, so don't sweat it if you feel behind already.
