If you are aged 11 to 15, School Years 7-10, please collect a signing up sheetfor Confirmation from Theresa, and return as soon as possible. The next Confirmation course is planned to start this year in May, to extend over a year, with meetings about once a month - but only if sufficient candidates come forward.

Tickets for the St Vincent de Paul National Raffle will be available after Mass today.

PASSOVER MEAL: Saturday 17th March

Programmes (tickets), costing £10.00, for our annual Passover Meal,are on sale after Mass today. There are a limited number of places for this very popular evening, which gives a Christian slant to the original Jewish Passover meal.

OUR LADY OF GOOD COUNSEL PRAYER GROUP

The Prayer Group of Our Lady of Good Counsel would like to invite you to join us for Adoration, Rosary and Novena on Saturday 3rd March,at 10 o’clock. Our Patron for the month will be Saint Joseph.

ANNE McGLINCHEY RIP

Anne McGlinchey sadly passed away last Monday in Milton Keynes General Hospital. Anne, along with her husband Mal, was a great support at Sacred Heart over many years. She wore a number of “hats”, including Sacristan, Flower Arranger, and member of the UCM. Her Requiem Mass will take place here on Friday 9th March at 11.00am. May she rest in peace.

MUSIC FOR LENT: Sunday 4th March

The local choir, the LinsdaleSingers, are performing “Music For Lent” in church next Sunday 4th March at 4.00pm. This short concert will be followed by tea and cakes in the Parish Hall. Tickets for the concert, which includes refreshments, are £6, at the door, and all proceeds are kindly being donated to Sacred Heart Fundraising. As this is also part of the Oxjam week, there will be a retiring collection for the work of Oxfam. Please take a leaflet from the back, or see the poster on the board for further details.

CAFOD LENT COLLECTION

There is a second collection this weekend for CAFOD. Friday was CAFOD Fast Day, and envelopes are still available on the entrance table. Please give as generously as you can: the UK Government have promised to double your donation, up to a total of

£5 million.

CHILDREN’S LENT CALENDARS

The liturgy grouphave some lovely Lent Calendars to give to the children. They are clearly laid out, but children will benefit greatly from parents’ guidance, so that full advantage can be taken of this beautiful way of walking and praying through the days and weeks of Lent, into the glories of Easter.
