Great Escape Reminders

Last Minute Reminders for Great Escape

Things you will/may need:

BRING YOUR MUSIC AND INSTRUMENT WITH YOU.

-sun screen

-water

-swimsuit if you wish to go on the water rides

-towel (if you want to take a backpack with one. There are lockers provided at the park for a fee)

-bagged lunch and/or dinner. You can also purchase food at the park. Plan on bringing a little bit of cash for the day for food and games.

Things you WANT to bring:

You will be responsible for all bags, electronic devices and anything else you bring. Keep it safe on you or give it to your chaperon.

*Put your money in a sealed envelope WITH YOUR NAME ON IT and give to your chaperon

***Parents, please put your child’s money in an envelope with his/her

name on it. You may also want to put their name on their bagged lunches. The group chaperone will keep track of the money throughout the day.

There are rides that will cost extra. If you want to ride on those, please plan on bringing extra money.

Performance Clothing:

Students may wear shorts or jeans with their band t-shirts for our performance. It will be helpful to wear your band t-shirts throughout the day.

Expectations:

As you are representing our school, I expect you to be on your best behavior at all times.

Anything a chaperon says to you is not to be questioned. Remember they are responsible for you and they have your best interest in mind.

Anyone who displays unacceptable behavior will spend the day sitting on the bus outside the park.

Parents/Guests: People interested in coming with band who are not chaperons may drive separately and see the band and/or join us at the park. Only chaperons and students will be on the buses. Anybody interested in accompanying us can get a discounted ticket into the park. Just say that you are “with us”. Any student who goes home with a parent needs to tell me.

Itinerary and Locations (the bus will not be stopping along the way, please plan accordingly):

8:00- Load up buses with equipment

8:15-depart

10:45- Arrive at performance site. The performance will be held at Christ Church at 54 Bay St. in Glens Falls. We will need to quickly unload the bus and set up.

11:20- warm-up

11:40-performance

12:00-load up the bus and head to Six Flags Great Escape. The address is 89 Six Flags Drive. Queensbury, NY.

12:30- arrive at Great Escape Theme Park.

12:30-4:00- Time in the park

4:00- meet and load up bus.

4:15- depart

6:30- Arrive back at Sauquoit.

PLEASE be at the Middle School by 6:30PM so we can get students home A.S.A.P. upon our return. If we will be early or late, we will have students call to let you know.
