LANDFILL SPOTTER-Part-time

SALARY AND BENEFITS

$14.40 - $17.25 per hour

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Spotter will perform a variety of duties at the Landfill. The major duties of the job include:

  • Direct traffic to the disposal area.
  • Perform load checks for hazardous wastes and direct traffic to the proper area of the landfill for certain wastes (i.e. tires, batteries, oil, etc.).
  • Move recyclables with backhoe to proper placement.
  • Litter pick up, moving fences, recycle stockpiles.
  • Maintain recycling area by gatehouse.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by technical courses in Hazardous Waste Handling.

Experience:Some experience with household waste handling.

License:Valid driver’s license.
