Another Harvest Moon Opens Dec. 2 in Susquehanna Valley Theatres

Lancaster, PA (November 29, 2011) – Aurora Films and SMD Entertainment Productions announce the local release of their feature film, Another Harvest Moon, starring Academy Award Winner, Ernest Borgnine. The film, about life, love, friendship and the fears associated with growing older, was shot on location at the former Harrisburg State Hospital Building and includes a number of local residents as extras. The movie opens December 2nd at Penn Cinema in Lititz and Midtown Cinema in Harrisburg.

Packed with an award-winning, legendary cast, the heartfelt drama tells the story of four friends coping with life in a nursing home. Ernest Borgnine stars in the role of Frank, a man who suffers a debilitating stroke who now must come to terms with his own mortality. Other members of the distinguished cast include (in alphabetical order) Piper Laurie, Anne Meara, Doris Roberts, Richard Schiff and Cybill Shepherd. Sunkrish Bala, Amber Benson, Clay Bravo and Cameron Monaghan round out the cast.

Another Harvest Moon has screened at a number of film festivals including: Rhode Island International, Louisville International, Heartland Film Festival, Orlando International, Hollywood Film Festival, Nantucket Film Festival and Sedona International among others. The picture has garnered numerous awards to include: Best Score (Rhode Island), Audience Choice Award (Rhode Island), Audience Choice Award (Louisville), Special Jury Award (Houston Worldfest), Lifetime Achievement, Ernest Borgnine (Rhode Island), Lifetime Achievement, Doris Roberts (Louisville) and Best Ensemble Cast (Orlando) The Film received high praise from both Box Office Magazine and Variety. The film is an Aurora Films and SMD Entertainment Productions presentation, directed by Greg W. Swartz from a screenplay by Jeremy T. Black. Bobby Black, Chad Taylor and Jason Weiss produced and Steven M. Delamater was executive producer. The original score was composed by Rick Garcia and William Malpede.
