West End Million

The West End of Morecambe was awarded £1 million from the Big Local to invest in achieving major improvements for all residents that live there. Driven by local people, the West End Million group over the past year have been consulting with local residents through many public events and community groups. CVS are delighted to be working on the West End Million project. Over the next couple months, Yak Patel and Jim Mackinson will be analysing the information gathered from the group’s 12 month consultation along with other key statistical information about the area to produce a community profile. Over the next few months, we will be working towards producing a report on our findings and working with the group to agree key themes from all the evidence gathered which will later feed in their action plan.

CVS is rooted in supporting local organisations / partnerships and communities in providing services to local people and we are happy to be working alongside the WEM team in achieving their ambition. CVS provides a range of services that can help your organisation develop. Contact us for further details.

A Better Deal for Pre-payers

Prepayment meter users are getting a second class service from energy firms compared to those on other payment methods. From a lack of top up options, to charges to move unreachable meters, to facing bills that are on average £80 more than those on direct debit, we think it’s about time suppliers offered a fairer pay-as-you-go deal.

You can help by signing the Citizens Advice petition https://www.change.org/p/energy-suppliers-give-prepayment-meter-customers-a-fairer-deal-3
