Conditions and Qualifications Championship

Play

  1. The Championship will be decided over 18 holes stroke play
  2. Prizes will be awarded for individuals and teams in gross and nett categories.
  3. No competitor can receive more than one prize in a particular category.
  4. In the event of a tie, a decision will be made in accordance with the Rules of the Lancashire Union of Golf clubs.
  5. All disputes shall be referred to the secretary and a decision of the Championship Committee shall be final.
  6. It is a condition that competitors must use the 1.68 inch golf ball and only those brands on the current list of conforming golf balls may be used.
  7. Entrance fees will not be refunded unless intimation of scratching is received before the closing date for entry.
  8. Caddies are not allowed except in very exceptional circumstances when prior permission must be sought.
  9. Any competitor NOT on the tee when their name is called by the starter will be DISQUALIFIED.
  10. JEANS, COLLARLESS SHIRTS or TRAINERS are not permitted to be worn either in the clubhouse or on the golf course.
  11. The Lancashire Schools Golf Association and the golf club will not be responsible for any loss or damage to persons or property at this event.
  12. A responsible adult must be present.

To be eligible to compete a player must be:

(a)An amateur as defined by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of ST Andrews.

(b)A pupil in full time education, at a School or College which is a fully paid up member of the Lancashire Schools Golf Association.

(c)In possession of a valid handicap not exceeding 18 for boys and 36 for girls.

(d)Have not reached the age of twenty on 1st September 2017.
