Important Note: Courses for next year are created based on selections made and students are committing to take the course. Each course has a minimum number of students that must be met in order for the class to be created. Be aware some courses listed below require additional work during the summer. An appeals process through Mrs. Kristy Montieth is available for extenuating circumstances.
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- The HOPE Scholarship requirements have changed! Students must have a 3.0 (B) average in their core academic classes when they graduate AND they must take:
- Class of 2017 and up—4 courses that are on the HOPE Rigor list
- The HOPE rigor courses that LFO offers are on the LFO website—with additional information on the GA DOE website
- Two years of the same foreign language are required for college admission (4-year school).
- To be considered for Highest Honors, a student must have taken at least 6 Honors/AP courses and have a cumulative GPA of 89.5 or higher in core academic classes.
- Students who complete 3 semesters of JROTC are exempt from taking Health and PE
- Twenty-Eight Credits are required for graduation.
- The deadline for dropping an Honors or AP class is May 13, 2016.
