LAKELINDEN POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS

LAKE LINDEN HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION

GENERAL INFORMATION

  • There will be no lifeguard on duty at any time. All residents and their guests will “swim at their own risk”.
  • The pool is open daily from April 1 until October 1. The pool hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • For the safety of others, please refrain from parking along the Lake Linden Drive entrance road.
  • The Association will issue one (1) electronic swipe card per residence. Lost swipe cards may be replaced by notifying the Home Owners Association.
  • There will be a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) fee for each replacement) electronicswipe card.
  • The Association will issue the electronic swipe card to the gate only after all Association Dues have been paid.
  • Renters best have copy of lease on file with the management firm (IMC Resort Services, Inc.) prior to having an activated pool access card.
  • Swipe cards can be obtained at the IMC Resort Services, Inc. Bluffton office.

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. The use of the swimming pool will be restricted to members and bona fide guests. Proof of pool membership (electronic swipe card) must be shown to any Association member who inquires.
  1. Neither the Association, its agents, employees nor contract personnel shall be held responsible for valuables.
  1. Parents are responsible for the safety and conduct of children at all times. Members are similarly responsible for their guests. A member must accompany all guests at all times. Guests are limited to four (4) per family.
  1. No private (exclusive) parties at any time.
  1. No one will enter the pool when a “POOL CLOSED” sign is posted or when admission is denied because pool capacity has been reached.
  1. An adult (18 years of age or older) must accompany children under sixteen (16) years of age.
  1. Non-swimmers are restricted to the shallow end of the pool at all times unless accompanied by an adult. Children 2 years of age and under are excluded from the pool unless accompanied by an adult.
  1. Floatation devices are generally not permitted in main pool except for use of Coast Guard approved floatation devices worn by persons with disabilities and under direct adult supervision. Floating devices for children (such as “swimmies”, noodles or tubes) will be allowed only with direct adult supervision unless crowded conditions exist. Larger inflatable rafts are only allowed when the pool is not crowded and the pool attendant will use his / her judgement when inflatable pool toys are or are not allowed. As the pool gets more crowded, the use will be prohibited.
  2. Food and / or beverages are permitted only in designated areas. All food and all beverages are to be kept out of the pool and away from the edge of the pool.
  1. No breakable containers are allowed in the pool complex at any time. This includes glass baby bottles.
  1. Appropriate swimwear is required at all times. No shorts, pants, cut-offs and cut-off T-shirts are permitted in the pool. T-shirts with offensive language or pictures are not permitted in the pool complex. Disposable diapers are not allowed in any pool at any time. Children not toilet trained must wear plastic pants.
  1. Hair accessories such as barrettes, ribbons, pin curlers, etc. must be removed from the hair before entering the water. Earrings must also be removed before entering the water.
  1. Gum chewing will not be permitted in the pool complex at any time.
  1. Smoking in or on the edge of the pool is prohibited. In accord with South Carolina Law, no one under age 18 will be permitted to smoke in the pool complex.
  1. Trash must be discarded in the designated trash receptacle.
  1. Any injury, however slight, must be reported to the Board of Directors.
  1. When crowded conditions exist, children under 16 may be asked to give up pool furniture to adults.
  1. No pets, bicycles, skateboards, or roller blades within pool fence.
  1. The use of radios, tape players, and / or musical instruments is limited to headphones only.
  1. The use of life saving equipment is for emergencies only.
  1. NO RUNNING OR HORSEPLAY IN THE POOL COMPLEX AT ANY TIME.

INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR VIOLATIONS

  1. Disregarding the rules.
  1. Profane language.
  1. Destruction of property.
  1. Littering.
  1. Allowing someone to use your pool access card.
  1. Anyone assisting another person into the pool enclosure without presenting valid pool access card.
  1. Horseplay, fighting, running, wrestling, ball playing or causing undue disturbances in or about the pool.
  1. Spitting, spouting of water and blowing of nose, etc.
  1. Disrespect towards residents or their guests.
  1. Any other inappropriate behavior as determined by the Lake Linden Home Owners Association.

HEALTH RULES

  1. Admission shall be refused to anyone having communicable diseases, wearing bandages, or with skin abrasions, colds, coughs, extremely inflamed eyes, infections, open sores, excessive sunburn, nasal or ear discharges.
  1. Children who are not toilet trained MUST WEAR CLOTH DIAPERS AND RUBBER PANTS. No disposable diapers (Pampers, Huggies, etc.) are allowed to be worn in the pool.
  1. Pets are prohibited in the pool complex.
  1. Swimmers are encouraged to take a soap shower in the bathhouse before entering the pool. Suntan lotion should be removed prior to entering the pool.

ADDITIONAL RULES

ADDITIONAL RULES, AMENDMENTS, OR CHANGES WILL BE POSTED ON THE POOL BULLETIN BOARD.

Enforcement Powers of the LakeLinden Pool Committee

  1. The Board of Directors and or management shall have the final authority to enforce all rules and may eject any person failing to observe the rules or otherwise conducting him or herself improperly. In this event the Representative or Assistant will report the incident to the Board of Directors or their designated Representative within 24 hours.
  1. Parents will be notified by phone (if # available) and /or by mail when children are ejected from the Pool. Notice will state the reason for ejection and the number of days of the suspension. At the discretion of the Pool Representative, the parent and child may be required to meet with the Committee to discuss remedies of the inappropriate behavior. Additionally, at the discretion of the Board of Directors, a suspension of privileges may be extended beyond the following guidelines.

1st Infraction1-3 days suspension depending on the seriousness of the inappropriate behavior.

2nd Infraction3-7 days suspension. Meeting with parent or guardian is required before privileges are reinstated.

3rd InfractionIndefinite suspension. Meeting with the Board of Directors, the Pool Representative, parents or guardian is required before reinstatement of privileges will be considered.

  1. Complaints, compliments and/or comments may be directed to management in writing to IMC Resort Services, Inc., 2 Corpus Christie, #302, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.

In case of emergency call: 911 – Fire - Police - Ambulance. The emergency phone is located at the entrance hall of the pool between the restrooms.
