OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this lecture, the participant should be better able to: 1) Describe patterns of spread of cancers of the supraglottic larynx, glottis larynx, and subglottic larynx; 2) Describe the diagnostic work-up of laryngeal cancers; 3) Identify the treatment selection and technique in vocal cord carcinoma: CIS, early vocal cord carcinoma, moderately advanced vocal cord cancer, and advanced vocal cord carcinoma; 4) Recognize the treatment selection and technique in supraglottic larynx carcinoma; 5) Describe results (e.g. local control) of treatment in vocal cord cancer and supraglottic larynx carcinoma; 6) Describe radiation sequelae of treatment.

TARGET AUDIENCE – Primary Care Physicians, Oncologists, Radiologists, Internal Medicine Physician’s, Other Interested Specialists, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Students, Medical Students, Nursing Students, Nurses and Nurse Practitioners.
