Essay Criteria

Developing Positive Relationships with Authority

There appears to be much violence reported in the media today, especially regarding authority figures whose job is to keep the peace in our various communities. Much of what is reported seems to be avoidable if there were better communication between these authority figures and the population they serve. In a well-developed descriptive essay, explore several ways that students can develop better and more positive relationships with police officers, security guards, school hall monitors, and other authority figures within their home and school communities. You are expected to use a maximum of 1500 words to support your position. Points will be deducted if essay exceeds 1500 words.
