PUBLIC RELATIONS AND MEDIA MANAGER

The Ladies Gaelic Football Association (Association), founded in 1974, has over 150,000 registered members in Ireland.

To continue its development as one of the largest, fastest growing, active and dynamic sports in Ireland, the Association is looking to fill the vital position of Public Relations and Media Manager based in Head Office in Dublin.

This is a really exciting position for a dynamic and driven individual wishing to enhance their career.

Reporting to the Chief Executive you will be responsible for:

·  The development and implementation of a Public Relations strategy covering all major events held by the Association.

·  Liaising with the media and using a variety of Public Relations and Marketing strategies and tools to raise and maintain the strong public profile of the Association.

·  Enhancement of all current social media platforms and online content.

Successful candidates will have:

·  Degree in public relations, journalism, communications or marketing.

·  A minimum of 3 years public relations/ communications experience gained either in-house or in an agency role with exposure to sports related industry highly preferable.

·  A high degree of initiative.

·  Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build effective relationships with a variety of diverse stakeholders at local and national level.

·  The ability to work both individually and as part of a team.

·  Interest/ experience of web management and the use of social media.

·  Have an interest in the sport and a knowledge of the structures and operations of a sporting organisation.

·  Ability to work to deadlines.
