Teams

Generally 6 Teamsof 6 riders comprising 3 boys and 3 girls. If team is all girls, 3 will race and score as if boys. If a team is short of a boy/girl the slowest boy/girl rides twice

Equipment & Course

It is necessary to bring coach’s van and trailer and staff car onto the field adjacent to the finish.

An hour minimum setting up time required - volunteers need to assist setting up & breaking down.
The mountain bike course is staked and taped - 80 metre straight for sprints, running into the endurance course which will be approximately 90 secs for the average rider. The course will avoid pitches.

Equipment: stakes & tape, 6 red staked Go-Ride banners; 2 Go-Ride Teardrop banners; 1 Gazebo; table & chairs (provided by British Cycling)

Bikes & Helmets

Teams will be issued with coloured bibs.

2/3 helmets will be provided for each team. It may be necessary to swap helmets quickly between riders for races. It would be helpful if riders brought their own named helmets.

A stock of mountain bikes of various sizes will be kept in the pit area. Riders will be assisted to adjust the saddle height.

Riders must return their bike to the pit area or to the next person in their team after they finish their event. They should return it in a suitable gear for the start by their next rider.
