Dear Parents of Currently Enrolled Students:

The week of January 23 - January 27 is designated as Registration Week for the 2017–18 school year. This is your opportunity to reserve space for your children, including any new siblings who wish to join our school family.

Please read over the following information carefully because it contains vital facts about the financial operation of our parish school. The operation of Christ the King Parish School is no small business matter. Our operating budget averages over $1.8 million annually. The tuition we charge our parents does not cover the actual per-pupil cost of educating your children. We expect the actual per-pupil cost in 2017-18 to be about $6,500.00 based on our total expenses divided by the number of students we serve.

When you consider what we charge our parents in tuition, you will see a difference of nearly $1,800.00 between the Supporting Catholic rate and what a Catholic education actually costs. Escalating costs of utilities, insurance, supplies, and teaching materials affect our school just as it affects your home, and it forces us to increase our budget annually. Technological advances everywhere in the world have a great impact on our school. We continue to grow in the acquisition and utilization of technology to assist our students and to seek better ways to communicate with our stakeholders.

In order to offset the difference between actual per-pupil costs and tuition rates, we depend upon a tremendous support system. Fr. Michael Nam, our Pastor, is a firm supporter of Catholic education as an offshoot of the Parish’s mission. Parent groups, such as our HASA and Mens’ Club, are vital financial contributors to our school. Donations from local businesses and vendors, along with grants from various sources, both public and private, continue to help to fund our mission.

We ask you to fill out the attached registration form and return it to school during Registration Week (January 23 - January 27, 2017). The registration fee and Clarion Herald fee are to be paid by cash, check, or money order and included with this registration form for your child to be considered re-registered.

Tuition and additional fees may be paid online through SMART Tuition. Attached are instructions for parents who are currently enrolled with SMART Tuition and for those who need to enroll. Please read over the attached instructions carefully. If your family will not be attending CTK next year, please indicate this on the form and return it to the school office.

On behalf of Fr. Michael and our entire school staff, thank you for the financial sacrifices you make in order to educate your children in a Catholic environment. We appreciate your vote of confidence in our parish school as we plan for yet another year of providing Catholic education to our community.
