GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Location
- Gyeong-Ju, the cradle of Silla culture and ancient capital of the Silla Dynasty is located between Taegu and Busan along the route of the Seoul express way.
2. History
- Gyeong-Ju is ancient city with a population of about 300,000.
- The city is called a museum without walls, filled with remains of ancient Silla.
- It bounds in royal tombs, temples, pagoda, Buddhist relief, fortress ruins, etc.
- The Silla Dynasty lasted for about 1,000 years from 571 B.C. to 936A.D. and its power and prosperity peaked in the middle of the 8thcentury.
3. Climate
- Autumn lasts from September to November.
- The climate of November in Gyeong-Ju dropdown to 15°~17°C and cool breeze come up.
