Annual Charity Fund Raising Golf Tournament - June 2nd, 2015
From the moment of our founding in 1882, charity has been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We are men of faith and men of action. The Knights of Columbus proudly serve the church and community through local charities while carrying out our patriotic and civic duties. We are a nonprofit organization focused on serving others . The net proceeds of our Annual Charity Golf Tournament are channeled to support the Knights of Columbus Charities. Examples of the many charities we support include:
Operation LAMB Special Olympics Holy Angels
Men's Shelter Room at the Inn Smile Train
Juvenile Diabetes Operation Exodus Habitat for Humanity
The LAMB Foundation of NC and Operation Exodus, are both 501C(3) public charities operated by Brother Knights. The LAMB Foundation of NC provides financial assistance to groups which assist the intellectually disabled. Last year, with community support and the hard work of our Brother Knights, we were able to raise over $50,000 in support of the LAMB Foundation. Operation Exodus is an entirely volunteer group of Knights that build handicapped access ramps for those who are unable to afford the construction. Funds we raise are used to purchase the necessary materials.
We are looking for Sponsors and Golfers for our Charity Fund Raising Golf Tournament on June 2nd , 2015. We have several sponsorships available that are described on the attached brochure. Please consider playing in the tournament as well The tournament will be a Scramble and USGA rules will apply. Golfers will enjoy a Buffet Lunch before the Noon Shotgun Start. Prizes will be awarded for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Hole-In-One ($10,000 and other vacation packages) and winning teams. An Awards Banquet follows the tournament. In addition to the tasty food, there will be a Silent Auction and other great raffle prizes donated by our Sponsors. An Entry Form is attached for your convenience.
