4 PATCH STACK & WHACK
Have you ever seen a quilt block that looked like a kaleidoscope? Chances are it was a Stack & Whack block. There is a 4 patch, 6 patch and 8 patch block. We are going to do the easier block, which is the 4 patch. You will learn the technique of the Stack and Whack, then you can do the harder blocks. This class will be taught by Donna Robinson, and will be held on Saturday, May 13th, starting at 9:30. Cost of this class will be $25.00. There is no pattern fee. No refunds will be given after May 6th.
FREE MOTION QUILTING WITH YOUR SEWING MACHINE
Many of you have expressed an interest in learning to do free motion with your sewing machine. We will be having a class on May 24th, starting at 9:30. This class will be taught by Linda Barnhill, who is an excellent free motion quilter. You will be given a supply list when you sign up. In order to take this class you must be able to drop or cover the feed dogs on your machine. Cost of this class is $25.00. Materials fee is $5.00. No refunds will be given after May 17th.
TABLE RUNNER USING THE EMBROIDERY MACHINE
You must come in to see this beautiful table runner, all done in the hoop with your embroidery machine! This class will be taught by Shirley LeGroux, on Thursday, June 22nd. You will be given a supply list when you sign up. JUST TO BE CLEAR-YOU MUST HAVE AN EMBROIDERY MACHINE, AND KNOW HOW TO USE IT TO TAKE THIS CLASS! This table runner can be made in the 5X7, 6X10, or 7X12 inch hoop. The size of your hoop will determine the width of the table runner. The length of the table runner is your choice, because it is done in sections. You will be given a supply list when you sign up. Cost of this class is $25.00. Pattern fee is $5.00. No refunds will be given after June 15th.
THANGLES “BUCK A BLOCK”
We will be starting Thangles “Buck A Block” in June. I have chosen to do this quilt in 30’s fabric. You will have your choice of using black, or white fabric for your sashing. You will also have your choice of 2 different borders. You will purchase your finishing kit when you sign up for the program. This is a small throw size, about 36X45 inches. I will have a sample in the store soon. If you have never done the “Buck A Block” program, and have no idea how to use Thangles come in and we will be glad to show you how. It is a super easy way to make half square triangles. For your first block, you will pay $6.00 for the pack of Thangles, and your 2 strips and directions, plus the cost of the finishing kit. After that, you will pay $1.00 for your directions and the 2 strips every month for 11 more months.
BLOCK OF THE MONTH DAY
The first Tuesday of the month is “Block of the Month day. If you have a block of the month that you haven’t finished, now is the time for you to GET IT DONE! Bring your machine and supplies, and come sew. The day for June is the 6th. There is no charge for this GET IT DONE day!!
QUILTING WITH FRIENDS
Bring you project, sewing machine, and supplies,, and come sew with us. The dates for May are the 9th and the 23nd. The dates for June are the 13th and the 27thl Come join the fun!. There is no charge for this fun day.
EMBROIDERING WITH FRIENDS
The 3rd Tuesday of the month is embroidering with friends day. Bring your machine and your project, and come see what others are making. If you don’t want to embroider, you are welcome to bring your machine and come sew. This is another fun day, and there is no charge. The day for May is the 16th, and the day for June is the 20th.
