Safety of all students at Adelaide McLaughlin P.S. continues to be a priority. Our Kiss N’ Ride area can be a safe tool for all parents to use if you follow these rules daily:
1. There is just ONE lane for the Kiss N’ Ride zone; the other is dedicated to buses and specific vehicles for our students with special needs. Please DO NOT PASS once you have entered the loop.
2. There is NO PARKING anywhere inside the loop of Kiss N’ Ride.
3. Please follow the traffic slowly to the supervising adult before letting passengers out/in.
4. Please DO NOT get out of your car. The adult on duty will help your child(ren) out of the car. Please have all backpacks, etc. within reach to help children exit your car quickly and safely.
5. If you are meeting children, please instruct them to meet you at the pickup area of the Kiss N’ Ride loop, or if you choose to park in the Visitor Parking, please meet them at their exit door to walk them safely to your car.
6. Exit the driveway through the proper exit.
7. To avoid a traffic backup onto Stevenson Road, try to time your arrival prior to bell time in the morning and 5-10 minutes after bell time in the afternoon.
8. Please respect the pylons and supervising adult at Kiss N’Ride.
With your cooperation, this Kiss N’Ride will allow a safe zone for our students. We always attempt to make it as efficient as possible and ask for your patience for just a few moments during your time in the 'Loop'.

HELP NEEDED

WE ARE IN NEED OF SUPERVISING ADULTS FOR OUR KISS N’ RIDE IN THE MORNING. IF YOU CAN OFFER 30 MINUTES OF YOUR MORNING TO ASSIST, IT WILL ALLOW THE KISS N’ RIDE TO CONTINUE. WE ARE AT A POINT WHERE WE DON’T HAVE ENOUGH SUPERVISORS TO ASSIST, AS WELL AS LACKING A REPLACEMENT CREW FOR WHEN THE CURRENT VOLUNTEERS LEAVE DUE TO THEIR CHILD’S UPCOMING GRADUATION FROM THE SCHOOL.

IF YOU ARE ABLE TO ASSIST, PLEASE CONTACT THE SCHOOL (905) 728-0521 AND SPEAK TO L. GLAES-COUTTS (VICE PRINCIPAL). YOUR CONSIDERATION FOR THIS REQUEST IS GREATLY APPRECIATED AND HOPEFULLY, WE WILL BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO OFFER A SAFE MEANS FOR THE ARRIVAL OF ALL STUDENTS TRANSPORTED BY VEHICLE TO OUR SCHOOL.
