Kirklees College Sports and Public Services Match Fit Competition 2018
Kirklees College sport and public services department would like to invite teams of students from year 9 upwards from surrounding schools to take part in a match fit competition; this competition is to discover the most match fit students in the local area.
It is a fast paced multiple round robin team event. This competition will test students in relation to public service skills and sport related activities.
Entrants
· This competition is open to student in Years 9 to 12.
· This is a team competition.
· Maximum students per team is 10, minimum students per team is 8.
[These can be mixed age groups and can be a mix of both male and female]
· There are no limits to the number of teams a school may enter.
· There is no charge to enter.
· Kirklees College will provide all the equipment and resources required.
· The competition will be run on 9th May 2018
· Competition entries (including the number of team members), must be received by the school’s liaison team by 12 noon, 25th April 2018.
Competition Structure
· This is a round robin team event
· There will be activities based on Sports and Public Services
· The Army, Police or Fire Service will be running some activities, these will be confirmed at a later date.
· Sports to include netball, football, rugby, rounder’s and much more.
· Activities to be scored 3 points for win, 1 point for draw and 0 points for loss.
· The school of the team with the most points will be crowned the winner and receive the Match Fit trophy.
· The prize and trophy will be presented at the school by the Sport and Public Services team.
· There will be a BBQ for everyone to enjoy.
· All contestants must conduct themselves in accordance with the highest standards of behaviour and health and safety. Kirklees College reserve the right to ask any contestant to leave who does not observe such standards or is guilty of unreasonable or improper conduct.
· All contestants must wear appropriate clothing; PE/Sports Kits
· Teachers are welcome to attend, however may not help teams. Kirklees College will ensure that appropriate staffing is in place to cover supervision.
