This form serves as a request for space to sell arts and crafts handmade, in Hawaii by the vendor at the King Kamehameha Celebration Ho‘olaule‘a. The King Kamehameha Celebration Commission reserves the right to deny space to any individual, club or organization who does not comply with the rules for participation that appear elsewhere on this application.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:

1. HOURS OF OPERATION: 10 am – 4pm. Set-up time: 7:30 am – 9:30 am.

Check in with coordinator for your location. You are responsible for clean-up of your area. Deposit check will be returned after clean-up. All tents must be taken down and area cleaned up by 6:00 pm.

2. TENTS, TABLES CHAIRS: Participants to provide own equipment, chairs, tables, tent and signage. Tent must be 10’ X 10’ or 10’ X 20’ in size. We can have our tent vendor set up a tent for you for the price he will charge us….(10X10 =$100 and 10 X 20 = $190, tables = $9 , chairs = $2).

3. ARTS AND CRAFTS VENDORS: Only Hawaiian hand made arts and crafts will be accepted. A list of hand made items must be turned in with this application. Parks Permit Section requires this.

4. INSURANCE and GET: We need your name by April 15 to include on our insurance policy. If you have your own insurance coverage, please give us a copy to be turned in to Permit Section. In the absence of said insurance, please refer to section nine of this agreement. We suggest you have your GET license on hand.

5. When cleaning your area, dump all trash in dumpster in parking lot.

6. CONDITIONS OF USE REQUIRED BY THE KAPI‘OLANIPARK: You agree to abide by the following conditions required by the Kapi‘olaniPark:

No driving on the grass during event hours due to liability issues. KKCC may permit you to deliver heavy supplies and equipment only to your tent during set-up hours. Any vehicle without said permission shall not be allowed access. Absolutely, no parking on the grass. Driving on the grass is for the active loading and unloading of materials only. You are responsible for repairing all damages to the grounds and/or irrigation system as a result of any damages caused by you. Holes created as a result of tent pegs, stakes, and other related equipment must be filled in with appropriate ground fill and as part of your clean up.

No canopies or tents will be erected directly behind permanent benches facing the bandstand.

7. Please include with your application:

  • Checkfor $100 for booth fee

  • Separate checkfor $50 for deposit (refundable)

9.INDEMNIFICATION: You agree to indemnify, save and hold harmless the City and County of Honolulu, the State of Hawaii, King Kamehameha Celebration Commission and all other sponsors of this event from any and all deaths, injuries, losses, damages to persons or property, and any and all claims, demands, liabilities therefore arising out of the concession. You shall be liable for any loss, damage or injury to persons or property resulting from your concession to the person or persons suffering such loss, damage, or injury. Any and all damage to the park and/or park facilities must be fully and completely restored within 7 days after the end of this event.

10.REVOCATION: All applications are subject to the approval of the King Kamehameha Celebration Commission and all decisions are final.
