Nearly 300 runners show up for Hog’s Hunt

For the 16th year in a row, trail runners from near and far gathered at Huntsville State Park for a trail run that is known as Hog’s Hunt. The race, held on April 5th, consisted of both a 50K (31 miles) and 25K (15.5 miles) distance, and was run on the vast trails and jeep roads throughout the park.
Hog’s Hunt, put on by race director Paul Stone, is well known within the trail running community, and always draws a nice crowd out to the park. This year 272 runners competed in both races combined, many of which were local. SHSU graduate student, Adrienne Langelier, was the top female in the 25K, while Huntsville resident, J.C. Guzman, placed 7th overall in the 50K.
