PRODUCTIVITY AND EXPERIENCE INDICATORS

1. During the past 15 years of teaching several courses in four different University colleges at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), I declare that the most enjoyable moments for me are those spent in the classes interacting with students in challenging environments. During my teaching experience, I was exposed to at least 5000 students with diverse quality, background and levels and I claim that I was able to inspire many of them and form quick, productive and friendly relationships.
2. In the past 10 years, I was assigned for administrative duties at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. I was able to maintain modest relations with all my colleagues and to stay focus in all situations. I established many positive changes and progresses in collaboration with the assigned administration teams for three different Deanships. My main missions is to connect the veterinary college with industrial sector, reaching international recognition and support the national health and animal sectors and providing continuous education for veterinarian in the field as well as providing veterinary students in the college with the required field experience. Therefore, I was part as well as lead different activities in the college to meet these goals. For examples:

• Lead the curriculum development team that established a new curriculum which was approved and implemented on 2012.
• I participated in the formulation of self assessment report (SAR) for European Association Establishment for Veterinary Education (EAEVE), the European accreditation body for veterinary colleges. Briefly, I was responsible for the curriculum reviewing section in the SAR - 2011. These efforts lead to organization of an unofficial evaluation visit from EAEVE consultation committee that recommends the college to be considered as member in the association which was successfully achieved 2012. Later, the college of veterinary medicine gained an approval for a twining project with the British Royal veterinary college (RVC) from 2013-2016 to help the college meet the requirement of full EAEVE accreditation. In this twining program I was responsible (first year only) for curriculum development section where we got educated by the RVC team about the EAEVE requirements for full accreditation in regards to the curriculum development.
• I was a member in the steering committee that organized the First International Conference on Building Human and Animal Health Capacity was held from 17-19 / 10/2017 in cooperation with Purdue University, USA. Through this conference we were able to practically reach many of the central missions explained above an we were successful to bring to the conference diverse national, and international attendants from officials, private sectors colleagues form many University as well as graduated and undergraduate.
• I gained a great experience in negotiation and formulation of memorandum of understanding (MOU) with different private, national and international sectors through which I effectively employed my active connections with national and international agencies to achieve successful agreements.
• MOU with Pirbright Reference Laboratory in London
• MOU with the Ministry of Agriculture
• MOU with Merial a multinational animal health company.

1. Connecting the research interest with the local industrial needs is one of the most important tasks that I tried to establish during my carrier. I connected my research since 2006 with the industrial companies. For example:

• I lead the research and development team for 5 years from 2006 to 2011 at Jordan Bio Industries Center - JOVAC, Amman, Jordan. I was able to help in the improvement of the company manufacturing lines and established with the company team the introduction of new products in Laboratory diagnostics. In 2014,
• I joined the Animal Wellness Product (A.W.P) Company, Reggio Emilia– Italy, as their scientific consultant for the Middle Eastern countries. For the period from 2017- 2018.
• I was able to direct a project that establishes continuous services to test and investigate the performance of poultry vaccines and poultry infectious diseases for Jordanian famers and international vaccines companies including Boehringer Ingelheim, ELANCO, Zoetis and MSD Animal health. Through this project, the scientific teams I lead were able to analyze thousands of samples from the field. This particular project provided a new concept in Jordanian poultry industry to consider the university laboratory scientific team as a third party reference in poultry vaccines and diseases.

1. As the only Ph.D Veterinary Immunologist in Jordan, I was assigned to several national committees in my area of expertise.

• Between the years of 2009 -2012 I was assigned by the Jordanian Prime Minster to sever as a member in the Jordanian agricultural higher committee for animal endemic diseases. The main duties for the committee was to investigate and design control plans for the animal disease epidemics in Jordan in order to establish diseases epidemiological map, plans for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in Jordan.
• In addition, I was a member in many epidemic committees for many infectious diseases constructed by Minister of Agriculture to face emergency contagious situation.
• I was recently assigned (2017) for national Veterinary Drugs and Biological products registration Committee, Ministry of Agriculture. Through this Committee, all Veterinary Drugs and Biological products including vaccines registration files are reviewed and evaluated to ensure their competence with national and international regulation.
• From 2016 - 2018, I was also a member in many Medical and Animal strategic planning committees. Between 2017- 2018, I was a member in the committee that reviewed, developed and adopted the National Animal Health Strategy 2018-2023 in collaboration with the World Organization for Animal Health (FAO), the strategic plan that based on its previous report on the status of veterinary services in Jordan.
• In addition, I also participated in the planning and approving the National Action in coordination and supervision of the World Health Organization (WHO) and in cooperation and participation of all health sectors in Jordan such as the Ministry of Health, the General Organization for Food and Drug and Royal Medical Services, the Higher Council for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Agriculture.
• I was also assigned to the steering committee of the first Jordan International Agricultural Forum and Exhibition organized by the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture.
• Participate in the Development of the Strategic Plan to Control FMD in Jordan 2017 in cooperation with European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD), one of FAO’s oldest Commissions.
• Participate in the development of FMD strategic control plan for FMD, held in Amman Jan 30th –feb 1st, 2017 organized by European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD), FAO.
• Participate in the national workshop plan on Bridging OIE Performance of veterinary services (PVS) and international health regulations (IHR) JEE, and development and costing of national action plan for health Security. The workshop held in Amman Oct 29th – Nov 2nd 2017 and organized by WHO
