Abstract–A Smart CCTV camera surveillance security system is proposed. The system is aimed to alleviate the disadvantages of the existing videosurveillance kits andprovides advanced searchnotification, visualization and alarming functionalitythrough motiondetection and tracking technology. The paper contains remedies of surveillance system. In this system uses different component like Passive Infra Red (PIR) sensorfor motion detectionand Infra Red (IR) sensor are used to track the position of object. This system works in two modes automatic and manual. in automatic mode When motion detected by the PIR sensor it gives the signal to controller at that time camera will on through the relay. If object changes position then the cameras trackposition of object as per the IR sensor signal. Camera move by using stepper motor and in manual mode camera move toward different object as per the requirement by using keypad accordingly by steppermotor. The zigbee are used to wirelesstransmission and reception of signal. The development in thecommunication system given rise to the wirelessnetworks. The effectivenessand feasibility of the proposed concept is proven throughexperimental results on a real-life video sequence.

1. INTRODUCTION

The project “Smart CCTV camera surveillance system” is to enhance the CCTV camera based security systems, which presently exist in different places. The Project Smart CCTV camera Security System by using CCTV Camera is designed using wireless technology. The signal is transmitted wirelessly to buzzer and LED. The video signal is transmitted through wire.

The primary aims of these systems are to provide an automatic interpretation of scenes and to understand and predict the actions and interactions of the observed objects based on the information acquired by sensors. ‘

The use of a surveillance system for image detection is becoming more important. An embedded surveillance system is frequently used in the home, office or factory for image processing of the surveillance system and also for traffic monitoring but this configuration requires a high performance core, which works against some advantages of embedded systems, such as low power consumption and low cost. Some designs propose the use of different sensors to track the sequence of the human body movement.[6] Other researchers construct an external signal to trigger the embedded surveillance system by means of a PIR sensor, which is triggered when an intruder enters the monitoring area.

The project basically consists of surveillance unit & control unit. This project will works in two modes: Manual mode & automatic mode. In automatic mode PIR sensor will detect person movement and will give signal to the microcontroller to start the CCTV camera by using Relay. IR sensor will track the person movement and give the signal to microcontroller [1]. Accordingly stepper motor will be actuated to rotate the CCTV assembly. & in manual mode we will use keypad for the movement of CCTV camera in manual mode.

Control unit consist of microcontroller, LCD to see the messages, buzzer & LED for indication, Keypad will be used in manual mode for the controlling movement of the CCTV camera.MAX 232 IC will be used for voltage conversion betweenRF module & microcontroller.

. The main stages of processing in a Smart CCTV camera surveillance systemare: moving object detectionand, tracking, behavioral analysis and retrieval. The recent interest in surveillance in public, military andcommercial scenarios is increasing the need to create anddeploy intelligent or automated visual surveillance systems. In scenarios such as public transport, these systems can helpmonitor and store situations of interest involving the public, viewed both as individuals and as crowds. Current researchin these automated visual surveillance systems tends tocombine multiple disciplines such as those mentionedearlier with signal processing, telecommunications, managementand socio-ethical studies. Nevertheless there tendsto be a lack of contribution from the field of systemengineering to the research. The growing research interest in this field is exemplifiedby the IEEE and IEE workshops and conferences on visualsurveillanceand special journal issues that focussolely on visual surveillanceor in human motionanalysis.[3,5] This paper surveys the work on automatedsurveillance system from the aspects of:image processing=computer vision algorithms which arecurrently used for visual surveillance. Even though the main goal of this paper is to present a reviewof the work that has been done in surveillance systems, anoutline of different mode 1) Manual mode. 2)Automatic mode

Applications.

The increasing demand for security by society leads to agrowing need for surveillance activities in many environments.

Lately, the demand for remote monitoring for safetyand security purposes has received particular attention, especially in the following areas:

Transport applications such as airports, railways, underground, and motorways to survey traffic. Public places such as banks, supermarkets, homes, department storesand parking lots, and remote surveillance in military applications.

Recent events, including major terrorist attacks, have led to

an increased demand for security in society. This in turn has

forced governments to make personal and asset security a

priority in their policies. This has resulted in the deployment

of large CCTV systems.

1) WORKING IN MANUAL MODE

In manual mode the use keypad for the movement of CCTV camera.

3. IMPROVED SCHEME

In ordinary system number of cameras are required to cover a large area and camera is continue in on condition because of that camera damaging possibility is more. Memory required to store the recording is maximum.

In this system the camera is ON only when the motion is detected. The camera is movable because of that large area is under surveillance.

4. RESSULT

Which operation is done is display on the LCD.Which is theresult of theproject. When the system starts the name of the project display on LCD.

1)”CCTVAUTOMATION SYSTEM”.Then it displays the mode of operation .2)”AUTO MODE “or “MANUAL MODE” It displays the status of camera the camera is OFF or ON. Ifthe PIR sensor detect motion then message display on LCD is 3)”camera is turn ON”.As per which IR sensor detect the position the message display as 4) “MOTION IS DETECTED AT POSITION 1” on LCD All the hardware working properly. If the motion is detected then camera is turn ON and the stepper motor moves the camera according to which IR sensor track the position of object.

5. CONCLUSION

The Project “Smart CCTV camera Surveillance system”is designed using wireless technology. This project is basically design for providing a security in different areas like military, banks, and industries etc and also save the power, memory required for the CCTV and CCTV footage respectively.
