About the school

Kislingbury Church of England Primary School is a successful and growing village primary school with an “Outstanding ethos” (Section 48 Inspection 2012). The school was graded as ‘Good’ by OFSTED (November 2013) and is continuing to improve as we move towards outstanding provision. Set in a rural village location the school benefits from being in a very supportive community. The children in our school family are caring, enthusiastic and hard-working and our staff team strive together to provide quality education within a strong caring Christian ethos.

We are supported by our Board of Governors, Parents and Carers, the Diocese of Peterborough, Northampton Local Education Authority, a very strong cluster group and our wider school family.Our children are generally highly motivated and well behaved. We strive to provide our children with the best education we can and to maintain a high level of achievement across the school. However, academic achievement is not our only priority. We aim to provide a truly broad and creative curriculum and give the art, music and other foundation subjects, high status. Active learning with many opportunities for trips out, specific acts of worship, productions, and fun activities are an integral part of school life. Our team of teaching assistants support learning through the school alongside volunteer support.

Expertise and Experience

We are looking to appoint the right person for our staff team and school family. In addition to being an excellent Key Stage Two class teacher.

We require the successful candidate to:

  • be able to support the Christian ethos of our school.
  • have a passion to ensure that every child is important.
  • be committed to excellence in learning and teaching, to challenge, inspire and motivate all.
  • demonstrate the ability to lead further development in a curriculum area
  • be able to prove effectiveness and skills in raising attainment of pupils.
  • have good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be able to work closely and effectively as a member of a small school team.

Shortlisting and Interviews

The Leadership Team and Governors will shortlist on Monday 6th March and you should be informed whether you have been shortlisted or not by Tuesday 7th. Interviews will take place on Tuesday14th March.
